I use this for my fiscal printer at work, which is so important! Any support would be greatly appreciated. Did I mistakenly press any keyboard shortcuts to turn them off? I didn't change my Windows settings or install any application when this thing stopped working, so I'm really at a loss as what it could be. It acts as if the cable/device is dead - but it's not, I've tested it on my other laptop.įurthermore, the computer does make a sound when I plug it in, but it just doesn't show on Device Manager. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling every Port and USB on Device Manager - nothing. I tried Add New Hardware and installing the (new) Prolific drivers - nothing. The Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port remains greyed out. Try to be more specific for better results.
